History: Richie and Nina were discovered as two eggs by trainers Allie and Sade, resting near a trail at the bottom of one of the mountains surrounding the Valley. The two trainers waited some time to see if the parents would return, but after a few hours it started to grow dark and a heavy rain began falling. Not wanting to leave the eggs out in the storm, the two trainers decided to each take responsibility for one and hatch the Pokemon themselves.

Allie's dark purple egg hatched only a few days later, and Team Allie welcomed a young Nidoran ♂ to their family. Once Richie's initial growth spurt leveled off, leaving him around the age of seven, he became rather mouthy and defiant. Allie wondered if this was because of the fact that he was away from his twin, and thought that allowing him to spend more time around her would do some good. It really didn't, and now the twins just enjoy pranking other Pokemon and causing a lot of trouble for both trainers.
